Dr. Sara Jansen Perry is a professor of management in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University. She oversees the Human Resource Management major and teaches classes related to conflict resolution, negotiation, and talent acquisition. Dr. Perry is a recognized researcher and develops research-based solutions focused on Employee Well-Being, Executive Development, Remote/Hybrid Work, Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution.
In her research, she studies employee stress and well-being, with an emphasis on hybrid and remote work, work breaks, leadership, and marginalized populations in the workforce. She has published articles in numerous top journals, including Journal of Management and Journal of Applied Psychology. Dr. Perry was recognized for her research productivity in 2023 in receiving the Hankamer School of Business Brent Clum Research Award among tenured faculty, and in 2017 in receiving Baylor’s tenure-track researcher of the year award.
Dr. Perry has been consulted by the New York Times, Washington Post, Fast Company, and other media outlets and both private and public sectors with regard the broad roll-out of remote work in response to COVID-19.

She received her Ph.D. and M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston, and she has a Bachelors of Science from the University of Missouri in Computer Science.
