Consulting and External Engagement

A natural extension of my dual passions for teaching and research, and for bridging the gap between science and practice, leads me to work regularly with employees and leaders through training, coaching, and research partnerships.

I also actively work to develop external partnerships on behalf of our Human Resource Management major for the purposes of connecting students to the business world, providing coaching and guest speakers for students individually and collectively, and placing students in jobs and internships. 

Although my primary roles are my research and teaching at Baylor, on a limited basis, I also provide professional advice and expertise on any of the areas in which I teach or conduct research. I am also a certified Mediator.

Types of External Engagements

My primary roles are working for Baylor University in research, teaching, and overseeing the Human Resource Management major. Any partnerships I develop with outside entities that benefit any of those areas are win-win.  Furthermore, I am available on a limited basis for other types of engagements as described here.

Training Workshops and Talks

I can offer 1-hour, half-day, or full-day workshops or presentations on a range of topics as listed below.

Data Analytics Partnerships

I can serve as a neutral third party to help collect and analyze employee data from multiple sources.

 

Through this, I can help organizations collect data about specific factors of interest, conduct internal data analytics, or bring in third party data from benefit or other employee service vendors to assess ROI for those services.  

These engagements take many forms depending on the data involved.

Individual Coaching

I am available for individual consultation on the range of topics I teach and research, for a one-time conversation or an ongoing coaching relationship.

As part of this engagement, I offer feedback on professional growth, help in mediating conflict, advice on improving leader-employee relationships, designing and implementing effective remote and hybrid work arrangements, stress management, and more.
